About us

Serica Kulturmanagement GmbH is a German-Chinese company with locations in Hamburg and the Beijing China-Germany Industrial Park.

For us, cultural management means more than organising cultural projects. We understand culture as the foundation of successful economic cooperation: it shapes communication, expectations, decisions and the way trust develops.

Our team has many years of experience supporting companies and designing and delivering cultural events. At the same time, our members combine in-depth knowledge of German and Chinese history and culture with practical experience in both countries. This enables us not merely to translate economic interests, but to place them in their respective cultural and social contexts.

We develop cultural and academic publications and communication media for the Chinese market, advise German companies on investment projects and accompany them on the path to a presence in the Beijing China-Germany Industrial Park. We also help Chinese companies and institutions understand Germany, find suitable partners and build long-term cooperation.

Serica makes culture a bridge between people, companies and markets—turning mutual understanding into trust, and trust into sustainable cooperation.

Managing Director

Ruogu Li is a historian and doctoral researcher at Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich, specialising in early modern history. His experience in research, museums and academic institutions underpins his strategic approach: markets can only be developed sustainably when their historical, cultural and institutional structures are understood.

As Managing Director, he is responsible for the strategic development and delivery of Serica projects. He connects cultural and academic publishing with China communication, corporate consulting and the preparation of concrete market entries. He helps German companies sharpen their positioning for the Chinese context, identify suitable partners and structures, and build resilient cooperation.
